Outsider Arts Festival
The Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival showcases the work of visual artists and performers outside of mainstream art institutions. We strive to provide a platform for these artists to share their unique perspectives and artistic visions with the community.
The 2025 Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival (VOAF) takes place October 10–12 at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre in Vancouver, with free admission. The festival gives space for artists and performers who operate outside mainstream institutions, helping the public see art from underrepresented voices. In 2025, participating visual artists include A. Cisneros, Sepideh, Sofia Yu, Li Wanting, Victoria Bonar, Michael Serroul, Mohammad Shahidi, Ramneet Kaur, and others. Performing artists this year include Beautiful Lizards, Calvin Jung, Kandy Roar, Kiran the Muse, Stanza Lune, and Terreane Derrick. Art groups such as Connection Salon, MPA Society, and Outsiders and Others are also involved.
The festival features over 400 artworks, workshop events, and an opening event on October 10 from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm to preview works and meet artists. RSVP is requested if you’d like to attend the opening event, but the admission is free.
