On the Edge - Queer Arts Festival 2026

Vancouver’s arts scene is about to get a serious infusion of boundary-pushing, community-centered creativity. From June 5 to June 30, 2026, the Queer Arts Festival (QAF) returns with a vital, electrifying theme for its latest iteration: On the Edge.

Taking over venues across the city—including the SUM gallery, On Main Gallery, The Birdhouse, Firehall Arts Centre, and Ocean Artworks—this year’s festival embraces the concept of the "precipice" as both a site of political danger and a space of endless possibility. At a time when queer and trans communities worldwide are facing rising systemic challenges, On the Edge asks a powerful question: What happens when we refuse to fall, and instead choose to linger in tension, desire, and anticipation?Whether you are looking for groundbreaking visual art, high-energy dance, intimate storytelling, or hands-on community workshops, QAF 2026 has something unforgettable in store. Here is your ultimate guide to this year's lineup.
