Steveston Pride Variety Show

Saturday, June 20, 2026, 5:30-8:00pm
Gulf of Georgia Cannery’s Boiler House Theatre
12138 Fourth Avenue, Richmond

Celebrate Pride and its connections to Steveston’s diverse communities past and present with a variety show hosted by Phyllis Hull of Vancouver’s own What the Frock Productions! Limited seating, advance registration required.

The Gulf of Georgia Cannery and the Steveston Community Centre are joining forces to celebrate 2SLGBTQI+ Pride with a one-night-only variety show in the Cannery’s Boiler House Theatre. Enjoy drag performances, comedy, music, and more from a selection of 2SLGBTQI+ presenters and artists, build community, and celebrate!

Curious to know how 2SLGBTQI+ experiences connect to the history of the West Coast’s fishing and canning industries and communities? Embark on a special “Hidden History” guided tour of the Cannery’s exhibits focusing on 2SLGBTQI+ history and discover how queer figures, experiences, and events are present in the history that the Cannery shares.

Drag performances from local artists Phyllis Hull, Eva Lasting, Carlotta Gurl, and Valentina Vanity.

The key purpose of this event is to create a welcoming space for the 2SLGBTQI+ community at the Cannery by showcasing relevance and connection between the 2SLGBTQI+ community (and allies), West Coast fishing, and canning history.
