Vancouver’s signature Pride Weekend event returns with over 100,000 attendees bringing colorful floats, lively marching bands, and community artwork to downtown streets. Led by Host Nations, the procession brings together local community groups, non-profit organizations, and businesses showcasing unified support for 2SLGBTQiA+ communities.
Four dedicated accessible viewing zones offer comfortable spots along the procession as community partner groups transform Vancouver into a display of love, music, and art.
2026 Pride Parade Route & Viewing Details
Start Point: The parade begins at Pacific Blvd, near BC Place.
End Point: The procession travels down Pacific Boulevard and concludes at Howe Street. No parade activity takes place past Howe Street.
Full event viewing is available anywhere along the designated path between BC Place and Howe Street. Arrive early and set up a few blocks before the end of the route for optimal viewing and comfortable seating space.

Best viewing: Anywhere along Pacific Blvd between Griffiths Way and Howe St. Bring a chair!
First Aid: Multiple first aid locations are available along the parade route.
Public transport: Skytrain is the recommended public transport option for accessing the parade route. Yaletown Roundhouse station (www.translink.ca) is a 1 minute walk (65 metres) from the parade route. Yaletown Aquabus dock (TheAquaBus.com) is a 6 minute (400 metres) walk from the parade route. Please contact Aquabus directly for information on stroller and wheelchair-accessible routes.
My favourite route: My friends and I uber down to Granville Island and take the water ferry over to David Lam Park. Perfect! We’re right on the parade route.
Parking: Watch the Vancouver Pride website for details on parking passes. But our best advice is, don’t bother bringing your car! Get someone to drop you, or use uber or taxi.
THE FUN
OK so those are the details and here’s the fun.
Dress up! Feel free to let your flag fly - there’s no other time of the year when you can be everything you want to be.
Carry Water. It will be very very hot if the sun is out. 90% of the parades I’ve attended over the past decade have been very sunny and very hot. Wear a hat, put on sunscreen before you leave the house (no, sunscreen is not bad for you, it will save your skin from numerous surgeries in your 60s trust me)
Join in. If you’re mobile, and you see someone you know in the parade, jump in and walk along for a bit. It’s an exhilarating experience!
Leave your puppers at home. The crowds, the noise, the heat will all be unpleasant for your furbaby. There’s nothing fun about a massive parade for dogs (or cats).
