Get ready for this year’s “Vancouver” Trans March!

Join us July 31st in resistance, resilience, and celebration. The last few years have been particularly… rough, to say the least. We offer this space to come together in joy, in protest, in recognition of our continued existence, power, and beauty. “Vancouver” Trans March is incredibly honoured to host you.

NEW this year

• Programming at Victoria Park will start at 6pm. That means more performances, earlier access to haircuts, to clothing swap, snacks, tablers, crafts, ect. We know the summer heat and the hill of our march route can be too much for many, and we want to give you something to do while we wait for the march to arrive!

• @crossandcrows will be open until 8pm on July 31st for anyone who wants to get out of the heat! Serving snacks, water, crafts, and of course books, Trans March attendees are invited to hangout at Cross and Crows while they wait for the march to get to 12th and Commercial, or to leave the heat of the march and take refuge in the bookstore should they need. (Note: This location does not have a very wheelchair accessible washroom, but we will be providing a list of accessible washrooms in the area.)

Schedule:

~ Start Park and March

5pm – Gather at Trout Lake gravel field (next to the community centre parking lot) for sign making!

5:30pm – Speakers and rally start

6:15pm – March departs Trout Lake gravel field

~ End Park

6pm - 9pm – Celebrate at Victoria Park

- Live performances

- Hair cuts

- Clothing swap

- Snacks

- Tablers

- Crafts

- Raffle

- Pickles!

* With the exception of raffle tickets and select vendors, all services are FREE

* Masks are encouraged, and mandatory in some areas of each park

* ASL interpretation will be available for the stage at both parks
