For the fifth consecutive year, the Two-Spirit Program at the Community-Based Research Centre (CBRC) is inviting the community to recognize March 20 as Two-Spirit and Indigenous LGBTQQIA+ Celebration and Awareness Day.
Timed to align with the spring equinox, this day serves as a period of renewal and growth. This year's theme, "Infinite Strength," highlights the collective power found in reclaiming traditional roles and spaces. From public proclamations to community demonstrations, the day honors the leadership of Two-Spirit and Indigiqueer movements across Canada.

While local celebrations are popping up in cities like Winnipeg, Toronto, and Fredericton, there are several ways to engage online from anywhere in BC:
Documentary Screening: Two-Spirit Resurgence Available the morning of March 20 at cbrc.net, this short film features interviews with Elders and leaders, highlighting the ongoing resurgence of identity across Turtle Island. It includes footage from previous celebrations right here in Vancouver.
Twitch Livestream with AngeeNoel & RJ Jones At 11 AM ET, join Two-Spirit Health Program Coordinator RJ Jones on Indigenous gamer AngeeNoel’s Twitch channel (Gaming is Rezilience). They will discuss Two-Spirit identity and queer Indigenous expression within gaming and digital spaces.

The Two-Spirit Program continues to evolve its community-led projects, including:
The Medicine Bundle: A national project improving access to sexual health supplies and traditional medicines.
Wholistic Brain Health: Researching Indigenous-led perspectives on aging and cognitive health.
Community Resources: Upcoming releases focused on addressing stigma and building resilience based on the Our Health national surveys.
