When we think of the holiday season, most often there are associations and feelings that come up which centre around the concept of home. Many in the queer community find the concept of “going home for the holidays” utterly terrifying, stressful and exhausting.

it is a sweeping generalization and honestly, extremely anxiety inducing for this time of the year to be referred to as “the most wonderful,” when in fact there is a large population of folks for which the holidays are a dreaded, confusing time.

Continually dissatisfied by the lack of accessibility to menstrual products and the general social stigma surrounding menstruation, two Vancouver-based humans have taken it upon themselves to create a space for accessibility and community surrounding menstrual equity in a “no policing,” accessible to all way.

I started noticing feelings of resonance toward they/them pronouns in myself just over a year ago, after I had moved across the country from Montreal to Vancouver and felt like I could, for lack of a better term, reinvent myself and re-evaluate my relationship to identity for the first time in years.
